A percussion concert themed on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was held in Langfang City, north China's Hebei Province on Friday. 

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): RUDI BAUER, Percussionist
"So first of all, I want to do a composition for the Li Biao Percussion Group. And I found a sentence of a Chinese author from some 100 years ago. It says, 'if you want to come to China, you have to cross the seven seas.' But we all the international members of Li Biao Percussion Group, we come from all over the world and have to cross maybe not seven seas, but also a long distance. I wish for big exchanges between the culture and music."

"We use different instruments to play music from different nationalities and cultures. Music is a universal language. The concert presented music from countries along the Belt and Road."
