SANTACO claims city still impounding taxis
Cape Town, 13 August 2023: According to SANTACO Western Cape treasurer, Ivan Waldeck, the City of Cape Town continued impounding taxis 24 hours after they started operating on Friday 11 August, after an eight day strike. One of the reasons for the strike was the impoundment of taxis by the city and the associated high release fees.
