STORYLINE:
This summer, China's Leye-Fengshan Global Geopark welcomed a group of young geological exploration enthusiasts from all across the country.
More than 60 young people aged between 6 and 18, guided by more than 10 mentors and teaching assistants, carried out exploration and research activities at the park.

"We actually follow a (concept) that allows children to gradually get close to and experience nature, starting from adapting to the environment, then accepting it and challenging it. When they paddled through the cave and saw the light gradually, we could see the expression of being amazed by nature on the face of every child."
In the nearly one-month activity, the participants did cave orientation hiking, cave biological and geological heritage investigation, paddleboarding, and rafting, among others.
The Leye-Fengshan Global Geopark, a UNESCO Global Geopark, is located in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
It contains the world's most beautiful karst windows, the highest density of tiankengs (giant sinkholes) and largest cave chambers known in the world and the world's longest natural bridges.
