The city has ramped up efforts in drainage works to repair the damage in inundated areas.

"The discharge of floodwater is still underway. We will make overall plans to coordinate flood prevention, disaster relief and reconstruction work to speed up the drainage progress and restore people's life as soon as possible."

In Laishui County, Hebei Province, damaged roads and bridges in disaster-stricken areas are being repaired.

Grid personnel are also restoring the power supply for the locals.

Chinese authorities on Sunday held a video conference to discuss the rain, water and geological disaster situations in the country, as well as potential influences and impacts caused by typhoons.
