A homeowner's Ring doorbell camera captured the moment a speeding car crashed into their neighbour's mailbox in Topeka, Kansas, on August 17.

My son had just gotten home and activated the Ring doorbell's motion detector on his way in. Just seconds after that (about 22 seconds into the video), a car flew down the street, halfway off the street, and destroyed my across-the-street neighbor's mailbox. I heard the noise but didn't know what it was. My son came into my office and said, "Did you see that car hit the mailbox?" I hadn't witnessed it but I pulled it up on the Ring app and there it was! I took this across the street to my neighbor and showed her. She was grateful. I'm glad the car didn't hit a person!
