A deadly fire at an inn claimed 9 lives and injured 2 in southwest China.

Video filmed in Liping County in Guizhou Province on August 18 shows a huge fire engulfing “Dream Zhaoxing" Inn.

Swift response from emergency teams led to a timely rescue operation on site.

By approximately 1:35 am, the flames were successfully extinguished.

Preliminary assessments indicate that the building, constructed with a brick-and-concrete mix, suffered fire damage across an area of roughly 240 square metres.

Regrettably, the incident resulted in the loss of nine lives, while two individuals sustained injuries. The injured parties were promptly transported to medical facilities for treatment.

Authorities are currently conducting investigations into the cause of the fire and are in the process of managing the aftermath.
