This recently married couple have had their honeymoon disrupted as wildfires continue to scorch Tenerife.

Footage shows smokey skies as fires burn across the island on August 19.

The filmer explains that swimming pools and hot tubs have been closed "because the ash is getting into everything".

They also told Newsflare that the hotel's staff are living there as their houses are in wildfire-affected areas and they can’t return home.

The filmer also shared her frustration at Tui who had allegedly told tourists that the fires would have no affect on their holidays.

Holiday makers were delayed 24 hours after their flight was delayed due to ash from wildfires in Tenerife. Once holiday makers finally arrived at their destination they were left disappointed when finding out a number of things on their holiday were affected by the fires. Ash from the fires had caused hotel pools and hot tubs to be closed. Tui who were the holiday company had told tourists prior that the fires had no effect to their holiday which added to the frustration when they arrived at the hotel. Smoke could also be seen reaching as far as the coast.
