Canada: Devastating Wildfires Sweep Through Towns In Shuswap Region
Raging fires tore through towns in the Shuswap Lake area on Friday, August 18, prompting evacuations through Saturday.
The Lower East Adams Lake wildfire was fanned by northerly winds into Scotch Creek and Celista. By Saturday, towns in the affected area were left with scorched vehicles, homes, and land properties.
B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) announced that Lower East Adams Lake and the Bush Creek East wildfires have merged and will be referred to as the Bush Creek East fire going forward, per reports.
