Terrifying moment boy scales high-rise apartment during hide-and-seek game in China
A boy playing hide-and-seek climbed out of a window and perched himself precariously on an air conditioning unit, several stories up in central China.
The terrifying video was filmed in Zhengzhou City in Henan Province on August 12.
Eyewitness Ms Rong described the unsettling scene, revealing that she heard noises from outside her window and to her shock, found that the child in the opposite building were playing hide-and-seek.
One adventurous lad, in a bid to find the perfect hiding spot, had scaled out of the window and was crouching on the air conditioning ledge. She said, "I was clutching my chest in fear. I shouted at the boy to get back inside and immediately informed the residential complex security."
The boy, after exchanging a few words with a girl playing with him inside the apartment, finally clambered back to safety.
An official from the apartment's property management commented on the incident, stating that the children were home alone at the time.
The boy's parents have since been contacted and have committed to ensuring stricter supervision and guidance for their child in the future.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
