Footage captured on a motorist's dashcam shows a large flash occur, lighting up the side of tall apartment blocks in Krasnogorsk.

Several car alarms were set off by the blast wave triggered by the explosion.

Moscow's Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said Russian air defences had shot down two drones to the west of the capital in the Krasnogorsk and Shastsy districts.

As of yet, Ukraine has not claimed responsibility for the attacks.
