Squirrel monkeys climbed all over a woman at a zoo in Thailand.

The primates were calm at first as they posed for pictures with the tourist Pronpimol Srathongoun, but more swarmed around her when the caretaker gave her a handful of snacks in Ayutthaya province on August 7.

Footage shows the excited animals, each grabbing food from Pronpimol, who seemed to have frozen with fear on her seat as the monkeys jumped onto her arm, shoulders, and lap.

She said: 'There were so many I wondered when they would stop coming. I felt a bit nervous when they were on my head. But they were gentle.'

Squirrel monkeys live in tropical forests of Central and South America. They are known for their intelligence, agility, and social behaviour.
