The latest SpaceX Starlink satellite train was spotted racing across the night sky in Vetroz, Switzerland, on August 22.

A group of G7-1 satellites launched from Vandeberg, California, could be seen ascending in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Group G7-1 of Starlink satellites, 21 satellites, were launched on 22nd august 2023 from Vandenberg California at 02:37 AM local time PDT, which was 11:37 CEST in Switzerland.

at 10:00 PM the same day, about 10hours 22 minutes later, they were flying over the Channel and northern Germany , and seen here from Montreux Switzerland over the northern horizon.

it was hardly visible to the naked eye but this camera and lens picked it up nonetheless.

I mention that there are 22 Starlink satellites but this specific launch actually had 21 satellites.

The Starlink trains are now shorter since they only have about 21-22 satellites of the new generation, which are larger than the original ones. The satellites in 2020, 2021 were launched at 50-60 units, giving longer trains.

they will get more spaced out in the next days and weeks.
