Tourist stuck on zipline high above onlookers in the Philippines
A tourist was stuck on a zipline high above onlookers in the Philippines.
The amusement park-goer was hoping to enjoy the beautiful view of the Taal Volcano and the lake surrounding it when strong winds blew amid bad weather in Tagaytay City, the Philippines on July 28.
Footage shows the holidaymaker hanging along the 300 metre-long cable with at least a 50ft-tall drop below him while the other park visitors watched from below.
However, the stranded man remained calm before a park staff followed down the zipline so they could slide together.
The Philippines and other countries in Southeast Asia, such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, are in the middle of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which lasts from May or June until November.
