A cute video has emerged of a toddler failing to fully understand how the water dispenser machine works.

The amusing footage, filmed three years ago in Las Vegas, Nevada, shows 16-month-old Charlie clearly understanding how to turn the water on, but he doesn't quite have the coordination to hold the cup under the dispenser and hold the button down at the same time.

This was filmed a little over three years ago when Charlie was about 16 months old during a visit to Grandma's house in Las Vegas. He had previously seen us fill up our cups with water, but we never gave him access to the water dispenser, although it was quite obvious that he wanted to try it himself. Eventually I gave in and let him have a go at it. I've always loved watching him learn new things because the innocent trial and error is often quite funny. Luckily, the thought came to mind that this could potentially be hilarious, so I pulled out my phone and filmed him. I sure am glad that I did. After Charlie's Grandpa saw the video, he said that one day the video would go viral.
