Panicking passengers made a hair-raising escape by jumping out of a burning car just in the nick of time in northern China.

Video filmed in Shenyang City in Liaoning Province on August 18 shows a black car suddenly erupting into flames and four people jumping out of the car quickly to escape.

Quick-thinking tunnel personnel raced to the scene of the inferno. Using fire hydrants installed along the tunnel walls, they unleashed a torrent of water, successfully dousing the flames and preventing further escalation.

All four occupants of the vehicle managed to escape without serious injury.

Although the passengers were safe, the car was unfortunately completely charred, leaving nothing but a burnt-out shell.

The cause of this shocking incident remains under investigation.

8月18日，辽宁沈阳，一辆黑色轿车在西顺城隧道内突然爆燃起火，这辆车当时由南向北行驶，车辆起火后，车上人员紧急跳车逃生。现场视频显示，在隧道附近的马路上出现了滚滚黑烟，这些烟都是从地下冒出来的。该隧道属于流量非常大的“南北快速干道”，事故造成该路段交通被阻断。车辆起火后，隧道相关工作人员迅速赶到现场，利用墙壁消火栓铺设水枪将火势成功扑灭。据一名目击者透露，轿车并不是新能源电车，车上包含司机在内一共四人全部顺利逃生，均无大碍，但车辆已被完全燃烧报废。目前，事故原因还在进一步调查处理中。
