A delivery rider smashed a glass door with his helmet when he accidentally walked into it as it was closing.

CCTV footage shows the moment the man walks towards the exit of a building in Hangzhou, in eastern China's Zhejiang Province at about 1:15pm on August 22.

The worker, Mr Liu, told local media he was on his way to a hospital to deliver food. He said that due to the tight schedule for delivering the order, he was looking down at his phone in a hurry and did not walk directly through the centre of the door.

In the video, he can be seen rushing towards the sliding glass door. But the sensors apparently do not pick up on his presence and the doors begin the close.

Moments later, Liu accidentally stumbles into the glass that smashes into pieces when he hits it with his hard helmet. Thankfully, Liu said he was not injured apart from a small cut on his hand.
