People burn incense and paper at a sacrifice platform on the banks of the Yangtze River in Yichang, Hubei province, China, Aug. 24, 2023. Every year during the Hungry Ghost Festival, the Yichang Binjiang Park management Office will place dozens of centralized sacrifice platforms on the banks of the Yangtze River for citizens to burn incense and paper to worship their ancestors, and arrange special personnel to clean up residues such as paper ash.
