Police and bouncers struggle to keep the peace as Bank Holiday revellers paint the town red in Birmingham
Revellers hit Birmingham's infamous Broad Street nightclub strip on Friday with a bang as the last Bank Holiday weekend until Christmas got underway.
Several partygoers were seen being helped along the strip by their friends on Friday 25 August evening into the early hours of Saturday.
Some had taken to having a lie down whilst being checked on to see if they were okay.
Several fights broke out, bouncers tried to calm two men who fought in the street and West Midlands Police turned out in force after another incident outside a Travelodge saw several detained and another caught in an alleyway after a short foot pursuit.
Some lads were seen inhaling 'Hippy Crack' or Nitrous Oxide from balloons in the street.
Paramedics were also on hand to make sure everyone was cared for.
The Bank Holiday weekend is expected to be enjoyed by thousands of revellers across the UK despite cooler temperatures that have hit the country.
