A young person is arrested on the first day of Notting Hill Carnival as over a million Bank Holiday Weekend revellers descended on the area around Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park (August 27).

It is unclear what the arrest was made for, which happened close to Westbourne Park during late afternoon where the suspect was seen struggling with police officers.

In an update the Metropolitan Police said that by 6:20pm, there had been 24 arrests made and that they were issuing a Section 60 order, where officers may stop and search individuals freely without suspicion.
