This is the painful moment a passenger was injured when the doors closed on his leg as he was leaving a bus.

The man was alighting at the Phranakhon Rajabhat University bus stop in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 21, but his leg was trapped when the driver accidentally closed the doors while he was exiting.

Footage shows how the male commuter stumbled onto the ground when the doors slowly snapped shut, with the bus running over his leg as it moved forward.

Local media reported that passengers normally board through the front of the bus and leave through the middle doors. The man had been using the proper exit, but was blocked by two passengers so he could not go out right away.

Believing he had already disembarked, the driver then shut the doors, resulting in the accident. The bus also reportedly lacked automatic door sensors.
