Dramatic CCTV footage has emerged from China of dozens of bystanders lifting up a car to save a cyclist trapped underneath.

In the video, captured on the security cameras at a junction in Guangxi region on Thursday, a white car is pulling out on a road when the cyclist passes in front of it and gets run over. More than 20 passersby soon rush to the scene and together manage to pick up the vehicle to free the female rider.

According to local news, the driver of the car only got her driving license very recently and just had her car taxed that day. The cyclist was a student at a nearby school and luckily escaped with minor injuries.
