Fascinating footage shows giant leaves being pressed and turned into bowls.

Workers remove the veins of the dried English gurjun tree fronds, locally known as tong tung tree, using a cutter at the Nai Suan garden in Chonburi province, Thailand.

Each cleaned piece is then brushed with glue and stuck together before they are pressed with a machine to form a harder material.

Aside from bowls, the hardened leaves are processed into trays, cups, and pots - a more sustainable and cheaper option than single-use plastic.
