Snakes, spiders, lizards and other exotic pets were displayed at a shopping mall in Thailand.

Footage shows different varieties of serpents enclosed in acrylic boxes, one of them a California mountain kingsnake and a ball python, at the Exotic Friends and Contests event in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 21.

The exhibit has armies of various species of ants being kept inside tubes with cotton, tarantulas, and a hairy Brazilian salmon pink bird-eating spider in boxes.

Some of the nonvenomous insects and reptiles were allowed for petting by children with supervision from caretakers, while a different section for fish aquariums, birds, and turtles was set up.

Aside from the reptiles and insects, the event booths from August 17 to 27 at the Seacon Bangkae shopping complex have a sloth, raccoon, chinchilla, hairless guinea pig, mini pig, and galago.

Exotic pet enthusiasts can also join contests that will be held for reptiles, fish, and insects, such as geckos, snakehead fish, and beetles.
