A boy fell through a ceiling and ended up dangling from the top of a fridge in a restaurant in China.

The CCTV footage was filmed in Suqian City in Jiangsu Province on August 26.

The mother, Mrs Cui, revealed that her son was upstairs playing with his younger sister at the time of the incident. The spot from which he fell on the second floor was a partition with a protective railing.

In his adventurous spirit, the boy had climbed over the railing to pick up a beverage bottle, only to misstep and plunge down. Thankfully, despite the harrowing fall, the boy was unharmed.

In the aftermath, Mrs Cui made sure to give her son a proper talking-to about safety. Yet, she admits that her son's mischievous antics are not uncommon, and she has grown somewhat accustomed to his cheeky escapades.
