A model complained she looked like 'Hey Arnold' following a botched filler treatment that caused her head to swell uncontrollably.

Soukphalack Vongsonesamouth, known profesionally as DJ Nouna, 30, visited a clinic in Bangkok, Thailand, for a dermal filler injection on her temples, forehead, eyebags, and chin.

But three months after the procedure, she said she began to feel intense pain in her temple. The area had also begun to bulge gruesomely on July 27.

Stressed and embarrassed by her misshapen appearance - which matches the football-headed Hey Arnold character from the Nickelodeon cartoon - Nouna fled back to her hometown in Vientiane, Laos, to seek help at a hospital.

Doctors believe that the pretty DJ's face was ruined by the filler injection. They prescribed medication to reduce the swelling and then injected a substance to dissolve the filler. However, Soukphalack still has unsightly lumps on her forehead.

Soukphalack is now recovering in Vientiane and said she is looking forward to returning to work in nightclubs as soon as she gets better.

She said: ‘Over the eight years of me DJing, I have had many filler injections and it had never been a problem until last month.

‘People accuse me of getting cheap injections but in reality, I went to a legitimate clinic. I am not sure why this is happening to me.

‘The swelling felt soft in my hands. When the doctor squished the part out I saw all sorts of liquid oozing out. It was disgusting.

'Even after the doctors took out the liquid there was more flowing out from my face. When I touch my skin it feels like there are big bumps beneath it. I had to stop working for months. What happened had clearly affected my main source of income.'

Glamorous Soukphalack said her face had been disfigured by the botched cosmetic work and she now fears she looks like 'a cartoon'.

‘The filler made my whole face look like a buffalo's private parts. My head has swollen like a rugby ball. It's like the cartoon character, Hey Arnold.

I'm embarrassed about how I look but I still want to share my story so other people are more careful when it comes to fillers.

‘I hope whoever follows my story keeps in mind to follow the doctor's instructions strictly. And also accept that there are risks.'
