Crossfit athlete falls headfirst off GHD machine after forgetting to anchor feet
A CrossFit athlete fell head first off a gym machine after forgetting to anchor her feet.
Kseniia Trubetskaia was training in her gym in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on August 24 when she climbed on to the GHD machine.
Hilarious footage shows the 35-year-old climb on to the apparatus with her head facing the floor and her feet on top of the pads.
As soon as Kseniia let go with her hands she toppled feet over head before crashing to the ground below.
Kseniia said: “I was shocked. When my head touched the floor I thought ‘omg what is going on’. Then my legs flipped over my body.
“When I ended up on the floor my first thought was ‘well, seems like I’m fine, but my head hurts and there are lots of people around, have they seen what happened'.
“There were like 20 people in the gym, but no-one saw this and couldn’t tell me what happened. It wasn’t until I saw the CCTV that I realised I hadn’t fixed my feet.
“I had a long flight a couple of days before and must have had some jetlag. I’ve done this movement a million times before, so I was sure my feet were in the right place.
“I had a bruise on my forehead, also on my right hand, nothing more. I had a headache for the next night, but after that everything was fine. It turns out that I’m lucky.”
