Officials of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to action after a car fell into a ditch in northern India's Uttarakhand.

This incident happened on Jawadi road in Rudraprayag district of the state on August 30.

Visuals showed the rescue operation in the process. Officials were seen tying a rope around the mangled vehicle in the water with the help of flashlights. According to a report, the SDRF team led by Additional Sub-inspector Mukesh Rawat rushed to the spot along with necessary equipment to the rescue of the ones trapped inside the vehicle. The car had fallen 150 meters from the river bank into the ditch and the officials had to get down using a rope and rescue the victims.

The injured person who was rescued has been identified as a 39-year-old named Ravi Rana and he was then brought to the main road and sent to the hospital. He revealed that there was another person, Pramod Jangwan (35) who was missing. Rana shared that he was travelling from Srinagar to Rudraprayag when he lost control of his car and fell into the ditch. The officials are still on the lookout for the missing person.
