This tourist claims to of had his life turned upside down by an elderly man who invited him into his house for a cup of tea.

Abbas, known as @yacineonelife on TikTok, had booked spontaneous a trip and Ireland and Northern Ireland.

It was hours before he was due to depart Dublin when he met a complete stranger whom he shared an unforgettably heartwarming interaction with.

Footage captured in November 2022 shows Abbas meeting an elderly man named Eric Connor who was walking his dog.

"I sat down in the park, nostalgic to be leaving Irish soil. Then Eric arrived and sat down next to me. He was walking his dog. And I can’t explain why, but I felt like chatting to him. So I asked him about the fort opposite his house," said the filmer.

Abbas explained what happened next: "From there it was a two-hour discussion. We walk along the shore and then the fateful moment comes when I ask him if he has any advice to give me that I can apply to my life.

"I could see in his eyes that this question has triggered some deep reflection in him. So he suggested we go and have a glass of tea at his place. I shot about 45 minutes of video at his place and then stayed there for two hours."

The filmer continued: "Then we went outside to his neighbours’ house, whom he doesn’t even know, and they gave us permission to go in.

"Needless to say, I didn’t see the time go by so I missed my plane. I took another flight to London and then Paris. I can even produce a 30-minute video report. I’ve got every stage of this magnificent journey.

"That meeting is engraved forever in my mind, he turned my life upside down. I’m still in contact with him and in a few weeks I plan to go and see him again."

I went to Ireland really on a whim and bought my plane ticket 2 days before. It was the Cliffs of Moher and Connemara Park that I loved most. I arrived at Dublin airport for 5 days in Ireland before my return flight. I hired a car (car hire prices are ridiculously low). Then I started my road trip in Dublin, I went to Northern Ireland then to the West then to the South and finally I returned to the East.

My flight was at 12 I arrived at 8am in a park not far from Eric Connor’s house.
