An elephant created quite a ruckus after it strayed into a residential area and chased away people in southern India's Andhra Pradesh.

This happened in the Singaripeta area of Gudipala mandal in the Chittoor district of the state on August 31.

Visuals showed the elephant being taken away from the area by the forest department which deployed the use of trained pachyderms.

According to a report, the forest department officials swung into action after receiving information and tamed this pachyderm with the help of trained elephants. Then it was tied to the forest department's elephants with the help of a rope and taken away from the place, much to the relief of the locals. Fortunately, there wasn't any loss of life in this incident.
