The coastal region of Shanwei is experiencing fierce winds and towering waves as the menacing Typhoon Saola approaches. In the Neihu Village situated in the Honghai Bay, homes are now submerged by the surging waters.

By 1:00 pm, the storm's intensity near Honghai Bay had grown alarmingly with gusts reaching a staggering 12. Local authorities have issued a red alert (the highest level) of typhoon warning.
