Southwest Airlines Pilots Association stages protest at LAX during 'informal picket line'
Over the next two days, more than half a million passengers are expected to move through the Los Angeles International Airport, with Friday being the busiest day of the weekend. around 1,200 pilots from Southwest Airlines will be picketing on Thursday (August 31), according to union representatives.
The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association says they’ve been trying for three years to reach an agreement with the airline. Rather than a strike or work stoppage, they’re calling Thursday’s action an “informational picket” to express their frustration publicly.
