Riverside County Sheriff's Deputies Recover Stolen Chevy Malibu After Short Pursuit
EAST HEMET, CA - On 09/01/2023 shortly after 1 am, Riverside County Sheriff's Deputies attempted to stop a Chevy Malibu that was reported stolen.
The driver of the vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued during which the suspect attempted to ram a patrol vehicle.
The pursuit came to an end in 26300 block of Soboba St just south of Mayberry Ave on a residential property with deputies taking the suspect safely into custody.
Cal Fire was called in to extinguish a small fire that started where the suspect abandoned the stolen vehicle.
No injuries to deputies and no damage to property was reported.
The suspect had a felony warrant and was on parole.
