Attendees to a China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week are seeking more cooperation in vocational education.

The six-day education cooperation week wraps up Saturday in Gui'an New Area in Guizhou, China.

In recent years, our school's primary focus in cooperation with ASEAN countries has been to assist businesses in expanding internationally. In 2021, as the overseas market demand increased for Guangxi LiuGong Group Co., Ltd, we jointly established a trilateral partnership in Thailand and Indonesia. This involved deploying equipment of Guangxi LiuGong Group to Thailand, with our Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College taking charge of developing educational materials and setting professional standards for training centers. Meanwhile, our vocational college was responsible for training Thai teachers, and the Thai institutions recruited students. The students may be employed by LiuGong Group in the future, so this contributes to talent development for fulfilling corporate orders.

"We just have exchange program for our students and teachers, and also for the mass projects sharing between both sides. We also develop our curriculum development, (which) depends on the professional, and depends on the skill that we have provided each other. You notice now a very important new technology that we call digitalization. So we have to send our students to learn about like big data, AI or VR, etc., to support all the technologies that are becoming the industrial needs."
