A snake was rescued from the house of a collector in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

This happened in Anuppur district of the state on August 30.

Visuals showed the massive six-foot-long reptile on the wall of the Government bungalow of Ashish Vashist, Collector and District Magistrate. While the lower half of its body was all coiled up, it stared straight into the darkness with flashlights revealing the presence of the creature. The snake was released into the water by snake guard Shashidhar Agarwal.

According to a report, the information about this python was sent to the snake guards after which Shashidhar Agarwal and his two associates-Hiralal Kol and Lallulal Kol came to the spot to capture the reptile. The snake was then released into the wild.
