A man suddenly set his motorcycle fuel tank on fire and pushed it towards a petrol pump due to a payment dispute in southern China.

The shocking CCTV footage was filmed in Shanwei in Guangdong Province on July 2.

As the petrol station's staff rushed with a fire extinguisher to douse the flames, they were violently thwarted by the man dressed in black.

Local police and fire departments rushed to the scene, working with the station employees to extinguish the blaze. A motorcycle was destroyed in the fire, but fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

By 8 am on the same day, the suspected arsonist, a 32-year-old man named Wu, was apprehended by the police.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that Wu had a disagreement over payment with the petrol station staff.

During the altercation, he lost control of his emotions, igniting the fuel tank of his own motorcycle and preventing station workers from putting out the fire, before fleeing the scene.

The suspect, Wu, has since been taken into custody and is facing criminal charges. The investigation is ongoing.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
