This footage was filmed and produced 3 September 2023.

A small Indian civet was rescued after it fell into a well in eastern India's Jharkhand. This happened in Gangjori village of Bokaro district on September 3.

This footage shows the creature inside the dry well and efforts being made to rescue it. The forest department then went to the spo to capture and rescue it. They tied two bamboo sticks together and lowered it into the well for the animal to climb onto, so that it could be taken out. The little civet kept running around the area inside the well, making it difficult for officials to capture it. Later, it was taken out of the well in a cloth bag and subsequently, released into the wild. The little creature crept out of the cloth bag where it was kept after being rescued and ran away before disappearing into a bushy area.
