The decommissioned Belle Tout Lighthouse in Beachy Head, England's south coast, has been transformed into an upmarket B&B where guests stay in a building on the edge of an eroding cliff.

Positioned in a precarious place, tourists have been warned about venturing close to the edge of the cliff edge that stands almost 87 metres (285 feet) above sea level.

A nearby National Trust visitor centre in Birling Gap was forced to close
its cafe and relocate it to the back of the building due to recent cliff falls.

Belle Tout Lighthouse (built 1832) now an upmarket B&B sitting precariously close to the crumbling chalk cliff edge, where recent chalk cliff falls have occured after heavy summer rain. Sitting 285 feet above sea level the chalk cliffs are eroding quicker than expected, with a nearby National Trust cliff edge Cafe at Birling Gap having to close to the public and move to new premises due to cliff falls.
