Tearful toddler clings to mother's photo at nursery in China
A toddler missing his mother in a nursery cried while staring at her photo in northwest China.
The video was filmed in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on September 5.
On just his second day at nursery, the 3-year-old couldn't hold back his tears. Missing his mother immensely, the child pulled out a laminated photo of her during breakfast, gazing at it longingly as he sobbed quietly to himself.
Mrs Zhang, the child's mother, wanted to provide him with some comfort, she had thoughtfully sealed a photo of herself in his name tag, hoping it would comfort him if he missed her.
However, she never anticipated the heart-wrenching moment captured in a video. "Watching it, I found it both hilarious and heartbreaking," she remarked. "But this is all part of growing up."
The video was provided by local media with permission.
