A bus driver was viciously attacked over a refusal to make an unscheduled stop in southern China.

The CCTV footage filmed in Qianwei County in Sichuan Province on September 6.

The passenger demanded the bus driver to halt the vehicle midway, which was firmly declined. Enraged by the refusal, the passenger stormed towards the driver's seat, hurling insults and repeatedly striking the driver's head with a water cup.

The sudden attack forced the driver to make an emergency move, causing the bus to sway violently.

On September 7, a representative from the bus company revealed that several passengers, including the aggressive man, had been thrown off their feet due to the unexpected jolt.

Despite his fall, the assailant got up and continued to batter the driver. It took the collective efforts of other passengers to restrain him. The driver immediately alerted the police to the violent episode.

Presently, the injured bus driver is recuperating at home. The transport company has provided all pertinent evidence to the authorities.

Local police have confirmed their involvement and are actively investigating the matter.

9月7日，该公交车所属公交公司一工作人员表示，当时有乘客摔倒，殴打司机的男子也摔倒了，但他起爬起来后继续打司机，在众人的阻止下男子才停手，司机当时就报了警。目前司机头部受伤已在家休养，公司已将相关证据提供给警方。
当地警方称已介入调查此事，具体情况正在处理中。
