US: Climate Protesters Disrupt US Open Semifinal
Three environmental activists brought the U.S. Open semifinal between Coco Gauff and Karolina Muchova to a halt by shouting in the stands of the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York on Thursday, September 7.
Two of the protesters were escorted out within several minutes, but it took longer to remove the other male protester as he glued his bare feet to a concrete floor.
The play resumed about 50 minutes later.
