According to reports it's record-breaking rains which hit Hong Kong
The Hong Kong Observatory said more than 6.2 inches of rain had fallen between 11 pm and Thursday midnight, marking the highest hourly rainfall since 1884.

Authorities issued the highest 'black' rainstorm warning due to the extreme weather, which disrupted transportation, school, and businesses on Friday, September 8.

The deluge comes just days after Typhoon Saola battered Hong Kong as a Category 2 hurricane over the weekend.
