A pickup truck successfully crossed a flooded road in Chantaburi, Thailand on September 2, despite being heavily overloaded.

Footage shows the dangerously off-balance vehicle driving slowly and carefully through the floodwaters, keeping its cargo intact despite it teetering to the side.

Passengers in the car behind were astonished by the sight. They recorded it powering through the muddy deluge before it took a turn onto a side road.

The Thai Meteorological Department on September 4 warned of torrential rains across the country. Residents, especially those in low-lying areas, were urged to be vigilant of flash floods and forest run-off.

Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are in their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
