A police officer in Shiyan, China, is being hailed as a hero after he handcuffed himself to a suicidal man who was hanging from the ledge of a tall building. Officer Li Yansong and his partner successfully saved the man, identified as Mr. Chen, who had been in a distressed state.
Li grabbed Chen's hand and used handcuffs to secure them together, preventing any rash decisions. Firefighters later arrived to help move Chen away from the ledge to safety. The officer's brave act received widespread praise on social media for saving a life.
