Rare Harry Potter proof copy to be re-offered in UK

An extremely rare proof copy of the first Harry Potter book ‘The Philosopher’s Stone’ will be re-offered at auction in November to ensure it gets a fair price.
The book, which was bought for £1 by an Oxfordshire school decades ago and was mislaid for several years, went on sale at Hansons Auctioneers' Staffordshire sale room on Tuesday morning but the £15,000 reserve was not met.
One of only 200 printed, it is being sold by St Kenelm’s Primary School in Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire which plans to reinvest any proceeds as additional funding.
