Malta on Friday held its cherished annual event, the Victory Day Regatta, at the historic Valletta Grand Harbor.
The event showcased the use of traditional Maltese boats, adding to its cultural significance.
Spanning a challenging course of 1,040 meters, the regatta unfolded against the stunning backdrop of the Valletta Grand Harbor. However, this year's race came with its share of trials, as strong winds and rough seas tested the mettle of the participants.
Some boats struggled and ultimately succumbed to the turbulent seas, sinking beneath the waves, but no one was injured.
