"This is Xinhua News Agency correspondent Huo Jing from Marrakesh, Morocco. According to the latest information from the Chinese embassy, no Chinese casualties were reported in the earthquake."
A 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit Morocco Friday night, claiming the lives of more than 2,000 people.
The epicenter of the earthquake was near the town of Ighil in Al Haouz Province, some 70 km southwest of Marrakesh, the fourth-largest city in the country.
