A passenger was rescued after accidentally getting her leg stuck in the gap between a train and the platform in eastern China.

The video was filmed in Shanghai on September 11. A female passenger's leg got trapped in the gap between the platform and a train, causing her to cry out loudly.

Upon noticing the incident, subway staff promptly initiated a rescue operation. They used an expander to widen the rubber strip at the platform edge and successfully freed the passenger.

The injured passenger was later examined and found to have only minor external injuries to the leg.

9月11日上午7时许，上海地铁8号线西藏南路站往沈杜公路站方向，车门处一名乘客不慎将腿卡在列车与站台缝隙中，工作人员发现后立即施救，使用了扩张器将站台边缘的橡皮条撑开，后将乘客救出。该乘客送医检查为腿部皮外伤，无大碍。
据目击者拍摄的视频显示，该名女乘客大腿被卡在站台和列车的缝隙处动弹不得，高声哭喊。目击者称，听到很多人示意地铁司机不要关门，不要开车，地铁引导员立即拉下红色紧急制动按钮，立即使用对讲机让地铁不要开。
上海地铁方面称，由于列车行驶时车身会左右小幅摆动，因此站台与列车之间必须留有一定的安全空隙，确保列车通过。同时为防止乘客踏空，通常站台边缘还会加装橡皮条填补过宽的间隙。上海地铁提醒，乘客上下车时，请小心站台间隙。
