Farmer climbed into reservoir to rescue stray dog that fell into water
Kind farmers climbed into a reservoir to rescue a stray dog that was trapped in the water.
Wittaya Pengseng and his staff were working when they heard the pooch crying at his durian plantation in Surat Thani, Thailand on June 8.
The locals followed the sound and found the hapless pooch struggling to climb up the reservoir's steep embankment.
Taking pity on the animal, they did not hesitate to jump into the water to save it.
Footage shows a worker calming down the frightened canine while the others lowered a large black cloth sheet down the reservoir.
The worker then placed the pooch onto the sheet as it was dragged up the slope.
Upon reaching safety, the pooch shook itself dry before running off into the nearby woods.
Wittaya said: 'The dog probably slipped and fell while it was roaming the farm looking for food. It was lucky there was not a lot of water in the reservoir or it could have drowned.'
