STORYLINE:

Bangladeshi businessmen spoke highly of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which they said has brought great changes to the South Asian country.

They made the remarks at "The Belt and Road Initiative in Bangladesh Exhibition 2023," which concluded on Sunday in Dhaka, the Bangladeshi capital, which marks the 10th anniversary of the initiative.

"I came to this exhibition center after seeing the circular of the exhibition on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Here I visited the Huawei stall, and saw Huawei technologies, and enterprise solutions. I've also visited many stalls of Chinese companies. I feel very happy to visit this exhibition."

"Our main product is jute, jute bag, Asian bag, we have different jute diversified items. (We) export to all over the world. There are many stalls. Many Chinese companies have come here. We export to China. Chinese people are very good and their cooperative attitude impressed us."

"We've been a dealer of (Chinese) Sany in Bangladesh for 13 years, currently Sany is leading the Bangladeshi market. Construction machines are essential for the development of the Belt and Road Initiative."

"There is a big opportunity for the Chinese investor to invest in Bangladesh because they can get the market, there is a ready market. They can get the market and they can export to the European Union from Bangladesh. They can export to the United States. China has a very good relationship and very good investment, good infrastructure development in Bangladesh. For that reason, Bangladesh and China have a very good friendship relationship. We want to go forward with the BRI and the investment opportunity will be created. Bangladesh will go forward with the help of China, the Chinese government and the BRI."
