Bizarre moment driver goes round in circles at intersection in Thailand
This is the bizarre moment a driver went around in circles at an intersection in Thailand.
Footage shows the silver sedan suddenly making a turn as it tried to pass through the busy junction before drifting in donuts in Chonburi province, Thailand, on September 4.
The unidentified driver did two full rotations of the space in front of confused motorists stopping at the red light on the opposite lane.
He turned faster when no other cars were nearby and slowed down for fellow drivers before finally deciding to head north.
Locals were baffled by the strange driving and the motorist has not been identified. Police are unsure if he has committed a traffic offence.
Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 by 2027.
However, a lack of road safety education in schools along with notoriously easy driving tests, police failures to enforce road laws, and chronic under-investment in infrastructure, all appear to hamper the efforts.
